Emma Castro is an undergraduate student at Tufts University, where she is majoring in Cognitive and Brain Science and French. She is particularly interested in the implications of depression, anxiety, and PTSD, specifically as they relate to language processing and production. Since January 2024, she has worked with the Tufts Multisensory Perception Lab, where she is directing an experiment on humans’ threshold for detecting gaps between tactile stimuli. Emma joined the Division of Neuropsychiatry and Neuromodulation as an intern in the summer of 2024. Beyond her psychology endeavors, Emma enjoys oil painting, crocheting, and New York Times games.
