Former Biography
Dr. Evans was a research fellow within the Neuropsychiatry and Translational Research Fellowship (NeTReF) program at the VA Boston Healthcare System and Massachusetts General Hospital. His research broadly focuses on characterizing dysregulation within neural circuits that underly maladaptive social behavior across internalizing disorders. In this research, he examines how social reward and social threat modulate motivation to approach and avoid potential social interactions. Ultimately, he aims to integrate his research and clinical experiences to identify patient-level biomarkers that can be employed to guide treatment selection for internalizing disorders.
