Former Biography
Sofia graduated from Boston University in May 2017 with a dual degree in psychology and neuroscience. As an undergraduate, she interned at the Center for Autism Research Excellence (CARE) using EEG to investigate the brain systems underlying sound processing in children with autism. As a clinical research coordinator in the Laboratory of Neuromodulation and Neuropsychiatry, she coordinated neuroimaging studies exploring the biomarkers and the mechanism of action of TMS in patients diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and Bipolar Disorder. She also assisted in providing TMS treatment in the MGH TMS Clinical Service. Sofi is currently pursuing her PhD in Clinical Psychology.
