Former Biography

Dr. Shahab is a Research Fellow in the Division of Neuropsychiatry and Neuromodulation at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Shahab is both a clinician and a researcher and received his medical degree from King Edward Medical University, Pakistan. HisĀ past research work has been mainly focused on Child & Adolescent Psychiatry in underprivileged communities. He is now working to combine that passion with his interest in Neuropsychiatry. The main focus of his research is to translate low risk Neuromodulation techniques into prevention strategies for mental health pathologies in underprivileged youth. To that end, he has joined the Photobiomodulation Team which is grounded in addressing inequality in brainĀ health.
