Lianna Suero
Lianna Suero is a rising junior at Boston Latin School. Since a young age, she has been very interested in biomedical engineering and oncology. She aspires to have a profession working with children and adolescents with a specialty in neuro-oncology. Leanna’s interest in Biomedical Engineering has grown after completing the Harvard Med Science Moonshot program. During this experience, she enhanced her critical thinking skills and worked with a team to develop a model to dissect type 1A tumor from the peripheral of the lung. This opportunity accentuated Leanna’s passion for exploring the intersection of medicine and engineering as it provided insight into the immense capabilities that technology can have within oncology and healthcare at large. At school, Lianna can be found in student leadership in the nurse’s office or her school’s chemistry olympiad club. In her free time, Lianna will be found using her telescope, volunteering with elementary school students, or at a pottery wheel.
